Presidents Corner
I wish to thank all members for your support as your club president last
year and your votes in June giving me the opportunity to serve as club
president for the coming year.
Every September begins a new NSRA year of monthly meeting, Public service and
fun for each member , and I will work hard with the club officers to
continue another great year.
This summer went well for the club, beginning at the annual field day in
June, and fortunately the rain held of till mid Sunday afternoon , which
allowed us to do everything we had planned in Endicott Park. By every
measure and comment I heard our Field Day was enjoyed by all , many thanks
to all who helped in the food
department It all went great.
On July 8th I attended the ARRL New England cabinet meeting in
Portsmouth,N.H.
It was a chance to met our ARRL director Tom Frenaye K1KI and other club
officers, and to compare notes, along with the latest information and proposals
the ARRL is working on.. The Sunday NSRA net the following day I was glad to
share some of this info. Our Sunday nets continued each Sunday this summer
and was well attended with check-ins,many thanks for every one who continue
to keep our net on Sunday nights at 8;30 going so well
The Chinese dinner night out on August 9th passed all expectations by
close to forty members and guest enjoying great food and get-together on a
mid-summer night evening.
I look forward to seeing you on September 17th and the start of another fine
year for the NSRA.
73's to all
Al Prudhomme, Jr. W1DUW

Field Day
2001 June 22 24, 2001
Hello everyone. I hope everyone has had a great summer. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank everyone who participated in Field Day this year. We had a lot
of help in both setup and tear down which is always a great help. And huge help from
Kate N1RYQ on the grill and getting the food together along with Al W1DUW. We have
submitted to ARRL for Field day 2400+ points, which is better than the last couple
of years. I'm sure we will do even better next year. If any of you want to help
with preparations for next years Field Day, we'll be starting up around January or
February to start getting things ready. We have already paid for the reservation at
Endicott Park so we are all set there.
