Presidents Corner
I have just come back from a very pleasant Wednesday night dinning out at
a local
Chinese restaurant.. It was great fun to have the dinner visit with approx. 20
members, including our two newest members . We ate well and had a visit
enjoyed by all who came..
October meeting had all, who attended ,enjoying and learning much about
television broadcasting and workings of a T.V. studio with our guest speaker
, Brien Sheppard engineering manager for N.H. public television. Brien
touched on many basics of television transmission, both analog and digital
technology . Look for a early spring car caravan trip to Durham,N.H.where
Brien will give us a tour and further technical show and tell. Stay tuned
this will be a great trip both the tour and a luncheon afterwards.
November's meeting brought the NSRA a fine silent auction that all
enjoyed ,and made a few dollars for the club, along with a successful split
the pot. Also we had two new members join. Than you for all the work and
support , we also had a large turn-out.
Looking ahead to December a spaghetti feed, salad ,bread with all the
fixings.,plus a Yankee Swap run by Herb W1KVQ. This truly, promises to round
out the year in good Holiday style, along with a passed budget, audit
committee in place ,all with the help of our acting treasure Eric KA1NCF.
For the January meeting we start the New Year on the 8th , with the
ARRL New England Director ,Tom Frenaye K1KI. You won't want to miss this
meeting as Tom focuses in on the issues facing ham radio today, Tom is a
expert on this subject and sure be very interesting, plus he will bring
along some surprises to pass out. See you on December 10th . Have a great
Thanksgiving..
73's to all
