Amateur Radio operators and representative leaders of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Organization discuss their experiences and lessons learned during the recent hurricane seasons. The forum also addressed current issues in Amateur Radio emergency communications and provided a chance to highlight our best practices.

Dennis begins with an overview of the presentation of the VoIP Hurricane Net followed by Rob's high level overview of Echolink, IRLP, the integrated conference, and how other VoIP technologies helped create the backbone for the Hurricane Net.
Part #2 13:07 - 28:47 Rob Macedo - KD1CY Rob continues with an overview of the VoIP Hurricane Net's operations, policies, and activation criteria while citing specific examples from Hurricanes Emily and Rita to prove the net's effectiveness.
Part #3 28:47 - 48:04 Rob Macedo - KD1CY Rob concludes the presentation with more examples from 2007 Hurricanes Dean and Felix as well as reflecting on several lessons learned from the various net operations throughout the years. We look towards the future of the net and direct you towards ways that YOU can become involved with our work.
